Transition time for many folks

St. John’s is moving along in the process of searching for a new permanent incumbent. In the meantime we are enjoying having the interim priest with us - we would like to be able to keep him. I am trusting and praying that there is someone who will be right for us at this time.

So many friends are in transition of one kind or another.

- reorganizing her life is what one friend said

- older people in the hospital - they will be making the transition from death to new life

- daughter finishing high school and anticipating the move to university - for her and her parents

- a young person starting kindergarten - her parents say it is a good experience for her and she is making new friends

- couple in living and work transition and the family is awaiting a new grandchild

- packing up a house after the death of an elderly parent

- transition to ministry after years of study and finally being ordained

- retiring after a career and moving back to the city

Does my own life feel settled with all of these changes going on?

I think so - after four years of retirement - where did the time go?

Someone said - I do not like change.

Someone else said - everything is always changing.
