In my house: laundry

I was wondering the other day if I was going backwards or what. I was hanging up some laundry in my basement.

My mom never owned a dryer. She had a clothes rack and some clotheslines in her laundry room. When we were growing up, there were even more clotheslines.

I enjoy my dryer and it is certainly convenient for moving the laundry along in an efficient manner. This past summer I started to be interested in saving energy so I bought myself a small clothes rack - quite suitable for drying lighter items. I already had some clotheslines in my laundry room.

In this winter weather anything that I hang up to dry does dry very quickly. I have figured out a system as to where to hang up what. I do still use my dryer but certainly not as much as in the past.

My clotheslines are quite fine for drying horsey items and riding clothes. Now my laundry shows some of Abra's grey hairs instead of Bishop's brown hairs.
