Saying goodbye and hello

It is always difficult to say goodbye to an animal companion - either small or large.

I wrote earlier this year about the two condo cats - brothers they were - that I looked after for a bit while their mom and dad were away. Unfortunately Harley got very sick and he had to be put down. His brother misses him a whole bunch. Mom and dad put out a nice picture of Harley where he used to like to sit.

An online friend had a rescue dog who was a real character. The dog was having major health issues. Unfortunately she had an accident and she had to be put down.

Owners really miss their animals when they are gone.

Benny - really Benedict - the condo cat - will be having a new little kitten sister in the New Year. Her name is Kaitlin - so there will be a team of Benny and Katie!

I might have mentioned how Abracdabra came to be part of my life. When I had to put Bishop down she came into my life as a very welcome addition.

I do have lots of pictures of Bishop and his predecessor - Charisma. It is a good way to remember them.
