My visit west was quite short - just over a week. When I got home it seemed that I had not been away any time at all.
It was a quiet visit with time spent in the house. That was alright as I went to be there.
I came home to many things to be done - including betting ready for Advent and Christmas. I am currently doing some house cleaning before I think about Christmas decorations - many old things from the house in Lachute.
The weather was sort of dreary in Vancouver. The day I left there was snow and my sister drove the car with snow tires to the airport. The roads were fine. After that they had more snow and she sent me some pictures of the back deck. She did not have time to rake her leaves - oh well.
The weather in Ottawa has not been too bad - only one real snow event. However Europe and northern New York State have had lots of snow. Particularly in Europe it is a big event.
There is always new stuff going on. I still have not figured out entirely how to work my new gas fireplace. There is a new puppy at the barn. He is quite young but very friendly - just what is needed around a place like that with lots of kids and people coming and going.
I am trying to be sociable as well. A friend’s invitation to a Facebook group does not quite do it for me.
Life is good as I juggle my various commitments and ongoing interests - church and horse and friends and house, etc.
