Old stuff in my house and elsewhere

I might have mentioned some of the old stuff I have in my house.

I have found a new home for many of my old metal hangars. The dry cleaners are always keen to take them back.

I have also found a new home for some wooden ones. They are nice but I just had too many.

I use now mostly plastic hangars in my house. I had some smaller sized ones and I thought I did not have any left. Yesterday a sweater fell off one. I like to give useful items to the Community Shop at St. John’s. This one will be on its way there soon.

I glanced at the price tag still stuck on it - it says Morgan’s. From what I read on Wikipedia Morgan’s in Montreal became the Bay in 1972.

My mom had an interesting story about the store. It must have happened after 1972. She heard two older ladies - not unlike herself - talking on a Montreal bus. They said that they were off to Morgan’s to do some shopping.

What old names do we remember? Probably plenty as I have recorded in this blog.
