High Society

This was such a nice movie that I watched thanks to my local PBS station.

All kinds of great actors in it - Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Grace Kelly.

The singing was quite nice of course.

I did go and look up some of the trivia about the movie on IMDB.

The engagement ring Grace was wearing was her real engagement ring. This was her last movie before getting married to Prince Ranier of Monaco. A quote from Alfred Hitchcock "very happy that Grace has found herself such a good part."

According to Wikipedia, they met at the Cannes Film Festival. He went to America and was looking for a wife. “Rainier met Kelly and her family, and after three days, the prince proposed.” She accepted and went on to her life as a princess instead of a movie star. She died tragically at the age of 52 after having a stroke when driving her car.
