A winter tail (or tale)

Brrr...it is cold at the barn. I have not been outside in a few days. It is getting sort of boring.

There is plenty of water and the food arrives regularly. I like that. My bed is quite comfy and I can lie down whenever I want - even in the middle of the afternoon.

I saw my mom very briefly. She fed me some carrots. She did brush me. She was complaining that her hands were cold. She said goodbye to me very soon after she arrived.

I guess before too long it will be back to my normal life - being outside in the snow which is fun. I can roll in it too.

My mom will be back to riding me and sometimes getting me to move around on the end of a long line. I think she calls it a longe line. Now that I know that I can trot and I do not have to jump over those poles on the ground, that is fun too. I even like to canter sometimes.

I hear the barn staff talking about the outside temperature - minus 30 or something - whatever that means. There seems to be more snow and ice around the doors going outside. They mumble and grumble when they have to go outside.

Anyway I am safe and warm here and I do not have to go anywhere for now.

From a very frosty place (much frostier than I am used to)

Love,
Abracadabra
