Horse

The three horses that I have owned have been the right horse for the particular time of my life.

Charisma (Cari) was a very energetic little mare. She had lots of zip - as her breeder told me. She had lots of get up and go as I did at that time of my life.

Then I moved on to Bishop who presented challenges and opportunities. He was easy going but also got unsettled easily - especially when I was riding him. He was fun to be with and had a friendly personality. He did need lots of extra care because of his COPD.

Now Abracadabra (Abra) has come to be a horse companion. She is a soft and gentle little mare. Even her coat is soft. She is adaptable and wants to learn. I have to move more slowly with her. We are getting to know each other. I know she is going to help me to remember to slow down.

So each of these horses is different but each is special.

As a long-time friend said to me this week - Vicki, I have known you a long time - I have known you with all three horses.
