October 30 - I started to write this - so I am looking backwards.

So what happened last night in Ottawa?
It must have been a Halloween joke. I have still not raked up all of my leaves. My winter boots are not ready yet - they are still in my basement. My car is not quite ready for winter - he has an appointment to have his winter tires installed on Thursday this week.
Yesterday the flower arrangers at the church took some final flowers from the church garden. They are now in vases behind the chancel altar. They were prepared.
Of course Abracadabra is ready for winter.
The sun is coming out as I write this. Perhaps the snow will melt.
