Birthday

I had a nice visit with Abracadabra the horse. She has just finished 2 sets of lessons with the barn owner’s daughter who has become quite a good rider and trainer. I was able to ask Abra to canter and she is learning how to do that.

I had a coffee with the barn owner - that has become a nice tradition in the last months - except for the 3 months he was away in the winter.

A close friend took me to eat at a local seafood restaurant. I had some of my favourite seafood - shrimp. It was a nice light meal.

We went up the street to the local fruit and veggie store. The store is very nice but we could not find any parking. GRRR.

I had a coffee cake as a birthday cake from the Wednesday morning group I go to a service with. I had a few pieces and I gave the rest away. I had a number of cards and best wishes on the phone and in emails from friends.

I had some nice little gifts from my sister. I did not talk with her but I will soon. She left birthday wishes on my voice mail when I was out horsing around. I wish she was living closer. I miss my mom - it is my 3rd birthday now since she died.

All in all a good day shared with important folks and of course Abracadabra.
