Abracadabra March 31, 2009

It has been icy walking outside and it stayed the same for quite a long time. I thought it was spring - at least that is what I heard folks talking about. I did miss some outdoor time this winter - I am not too good at skating. I see less snow in the rings now but the ground is still very hard. It must be frozen.

My mom is happy with me and she is enjoying riding me. She lunges me sometimes too and I can canter and stop and stand still. I am learning my lessons.

Speaking of lessons, I have had special ones. I think it has been 6 and my mom told me she signed me up for 6 more. I think that makes 12 in all. I am enjoying them and I am enjoying my instructor. I get to canter - not too fast. I do lots of circles and I halt and stand still.

I like being told that I am a good girl. I am learning how to mind my manners and to listen to what I am being told to do.

I am lost some weight. I have lost lots of my winter fur coat. I have met the blacksmith. My mom tells me that I will be meeting the vet sometime soon.

I like being with people - I am a friendly people horse. I was loose between the gate going out to the fields and the barn. I found my way home to my stall.

My mom has told me that a number of her friends want to come and meet me. Bring goodies please!

I am only in one lesson a week at the moment. I know that the lady riding me likes me a lot. There have been some challenges with the other riders. I expect now that Walter is home again from his winter vacation my lesson routine will change again.

Until next time. Love from Abracadabra.
